Cape Cod Cafe in Halifax serves bar pizza made the same way since 1939โa 10-inch pan pizza with thin, freshly proofed dough, homemade oregano-based sauce, and a blend of cheddar cheeses, baked in a deck oven. The recipe was perfected by Papa Jamoulis after he purchased the original Brockton location in 1947, creating what would later be recognized as South Shore bar pizza. The Halifax location operates daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and the restaurant also ships frozen versions of its pizza nationwide.
