Willington Pizza was opened in 1978 by Jeff Kelly with 4 tables as a one-man operation. It moved to its current location in 1981 and can now seat over 200 people. In 1988, a second location called Willington Pizza Too opened with the same pizza and a slightly different menu. Both restaurants have received awards and recognition from Connecticut Magazine, Good Morning America, and the New York Times.
